Our Mission is to Serve God!

Life is full of daily choices. What becomes your mission in Life? Have you chosen life or death? Choose this day whom you will serve: Joshua 24:14-15, "Now, therefore, fear {revere} the LORD, and serve Him in sincerity and truth. … And put away the gods which your fathers served … and serve the LORD. 15 And if it seems evil to you to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served … or the gods … in whose land you live. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

Truth is you are either a servant of good (God) or you are serving evil (Satan). There is no "fence sitting" allowed; you must choose and do choose by either your actions or your lack of actions! Deuteronomy 30:15-19, "Behold, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil, 16 In that I command you this day to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments so that you may live and multiply. And the LORD your God shall bless you in the land where you go to possess it. 17 But if your heart turns away so that you will not hear, but shall be drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I denounce to you this day that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days on the land where you pass over Jordan to go to possess it. 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life, so that both you and your seed may live."

There are some people whose main focus is the attainment of monetary wealth at the expense of others, no matter who may suffer! Matthew 6:19-24, "Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where moth and rust spoil, and where thieves break through and steal; 20 But store up treasures for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust spoils, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. 22 The light of the body is the eye. Therefore, if your eye be sound, your whole body shall be full of light. 23 But if your eye be evil, your whole body shall be full of darkness. Therefore, if the light that is in you be darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 No one is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will hold to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon {the attainment of wealth}."

Some People are so anxious about their living situation, and rightly so if they are experiencing homelessness for specific reasons. Matthew 6:25-33, "Because of this I say to you, do not be anxious about your life as to what you shall eat and what you shall drink; nor about your body as to what you shall wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Observe the birds of heaven: they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor do they gather into granaries; and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they? 27 But who among you, by taking careful thought, is able to add one cubit to his stature? 28 And why are you anxious about clothing? Observe the lilies of the field, how they grow: they do not labor, nor do they spin; 29 But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these. 30 Now if God so arrays the grass of the field, which today is and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall He not much rather clothe you, O you of little faith? 31 Therefore, do not be anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'With what shall we be clothed?' 32 For the nations seek after all these things. And your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. 33 But as for you, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

We Are Saved by Grace, –Judged by Works

We do not deserve Salvation. No one does, but Christ our Savior laid His life down for all and paid the ultimate price by His shed blood. However many false priests, prophets, and ministers of this world, preach a false doctrine saying that, "ONCE we have accepted Jesus, we are ALWAYS saved." Such false ministers are "handling the word of God deceitfully" by, preaching what people want to hear, instead of what scripture actually says.

As an outward show of our faith, we must have godly works! Scripture totally shows this in many ways. Once we have accepted the blood price of Christ's gift we are told to go out and preach the Gospel of His coming Kingdom. Matt 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, 20 And surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age." We are given gifts and talents to use in our journey and we are to walk the walk, not just do the talk. We are to be a light and guide, without condemnation but in love and compassion. But still, we shall not be shading the truth.

Jesus healed a man and later in: John 5:14, "… found him in the temple and said to him, 'Behold, you have been made whole. Sin no more, so that something worse does not happen to you.' " In another example a woman was brought before Him who had been caught in adultery. As her accusers departed from their presence, Jesus said to her in John 8:10-11, "… 'Woman, where are your accusers? Did anyone condemn you?' 11 And she said, 'No one, Lord.' And Jesus said to her, 'Neither do I condemn you. Go, and sin no more.' " Note this, both were judged (evaluated) as sinners and forgiven; then directed to bear fruit of repentance by taking the action to avoid sin, and possible punishment.

Rom 5:1, "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." However we read in Rom 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." and we read about God's righteous judgment in Rom 2:6-11, "Who will render to each one according to his own works: 7 On the one hand, to those who with patient endurance in good works are seeking glory and honor and immortality— eternal life; 8 But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow wickedness, there will be wrath and anger, 9 tribulation and anguish—upon every soul of man who works out evil, both of the Jew first, and of the Gentile; 10 But glory and honor and peace to everyone who works good, both to the Jew first, and to the Gentile, 11 Because there is no respect of persons with God." Rev 14:12, "Here is a call for the patience {endurance} of the saints who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus."

There are false ministers that teach a rapture theory and others claim that the reward of the saved is to "go to heaven." Both teachings are not the scriptural truth. Matt 5:5, "Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth." And Psa 37:34, "Wait on the LORD and keep His way, and He shall exalt you to inherit the earth; when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it." How are the wicked cut off? Matt 13:38-42, "And the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one. 39 Now the enemy who sowed them is the devil; and the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. 40 Therefore, as the tares are gathered and consumed in the fire, so shall it be in the end of this age. 41 The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all the offenders and those who are practicing lawlessness; 42 And they shall cast them into the furnace of fire; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." No "rapture" here!

It is true that there is a spirit in man that ascends to God, upon death, Ecc 3:20-21, "All go to one place; all are of the dust, and all return to dust again. 21 Who knows the spirit of man whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the beast whether it goes downward to the earth?" God knows and tells us in Rev 6:9-11, "And when He opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony that they held; 10 And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, 'How long, O Lord, holy and true, do You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?' 11 And white robes were given to each of them; and they were told that they should rest a short time yet, until it be fulfilled that both their fellow servants and their brethren also would be killed, just as they had been."

However Jesus directs us to pray: Luke 11:2, "And He said to them, 'When you pray, say, "Our Father Who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name; Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also upon the earth." ' " God's kingdom is coming,Rev 21:3, "And I heard a great voice from heaven say, 'Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men; and He shall dwell with them, and they shall be His people; and God Himself shall be with them and be their God.' "

Christ does not want lip service! Luke 6:46, "Why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' but not do what I say?" We must have faith plus proper works to please God! Yes, we will be judged by our works! Revelations 20:12, "And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God; and the books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works!" Gods word is very clear about this- the book of James 2:24-26, says "… faith without works {deeds} is dead." The OT is more about the physical prior to Christ's grace, the NT a new covenant is about your Spiritual Walk and And Calling. Jer. 17:10, "I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds."

Jesus said, John 4:23-24, "But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father is indeed seeking those who worship Him in this manner. 24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth." 1Pe 1:16, "For it is written, 'You be holy because I am holy.' " 2Co 5:10, "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ so that each one may receive according to the things done in his body—what he has practiced, whether good or evil." 1 Peter 1:17, It is "… the Father, Who judges according to each man's work without respect of persons, …" Rom 2:6, God, "Who will render to each person according to his own works." Rev 22:12, "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render {give} to every man according to what {works} he has done."

When we give to others, God looks on the intent of our heart as to why and whom we give. Matt 6:1-2, "Beware that you do not bestow your alms in the sight of men in order to be seen by them; otherwise you have no reward with your Father Who is in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you give your alms, do not sound the trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may have glory from men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward."

Will you be righteous in the final judgment? Matt 25:31-40, "When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, He will sit on His glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will place the sheep on His right and the goats on His left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you took Me in, 36 I was naked and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, I was in prison and you visited Me.' 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 When did we see You sick or in prison and visit You?' 40 And the King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.' "
